Gotta Love Catholic School!

There's no way the following email would have been sent by a public school principal:

Over the long weekend, please consider whether your child
needs a haircut to conform with uniform guidelines. Many of the boys are
looking particularly shabby.

The Haircuts/Hair Color section of the
Parent Handbook is on page 16:

Haircuts/Hair Color
Proper
grooming is expected of every student. Fad haircuts are not
acceptable. No color altering chemicals may be used to alter the student’s
natural hair color. Girls’ hair should be maintained neatly and not
covering the eyes. Boys’ hair should not cover the eyebrows or ears, and
should be trimmed above the shirt collar.

I'm seriously chuckling over here. Many of my male students have interesting, faddish hair cuts. Unfortunately for their Catholic School counterparts, they can not partake in these trends. If you do, Sister Carol will get on your case! Ha!
