Why is it a huge struggle every morning to get my little darlings out of bed, dressed, washed up and having eaten breakfast before we leave? Why?
Why does it take 30 minutes to get dressed when your clothes are already laid out for you? Why do you insist on hamming it up in front of the mirror for 10 minutes instead of getting dressed? Why does the toothpaste only come out of the tube for me but not for you? Why is it that you can't find your sneakers? They're supposed to be at the front door where you were asked to put them yesterday afternoon as you got home. Why is your fall jacket lost for the second time this week? Yes, we had to pull a second fall jacket from her closet because we couldn't fine the other.
Someone tell me WHY children are this infuriating in the morning? ~sigh~

i cannot tell you why, other than the fact that they are irrational little human beings.
but it's soooo hard to deal with isn't it?
one is hard enough to get out the door. before 7:12 am. how early do you have to start, f?
Christina, I'm up at 5 a.m. and we need to leave by 6:15/6:20 a.m. for me to drop the boys at daycare (thankfully Robin does that) and drop Maddy off at my sister-in-law (she works at Maddy's school so she takes her in for us). On MWF, I have all three and I drop off Maddy to her aunt's and the boys at Gramma, who thankfully lives 2 doors away from Aunty.
My start time is 7:25 a.m. but everyone who teaches KNOWS you can't just waltz in at your start time and be ready to greet the little darlings. This gives me 20ish minutes to copy last minute stuff and get mentally prepared for the onslaught of the day.
If my children would cooperate, I'd be much less stressed; that's for sure! ;)
God bless you. that is tough.
I thought we did much better this morning. Hopefully tomorrow will go even better.
Robin
