Christmas Concert

Last night we went to Maddy's school Christmas Concert. It was wonderful. The kids have been practicing for a while; I think at least sixish weeks. The concert included all the grades from Kindergarten to 8th grade. It was amazing how well all the kids sang and that they actually knew all the lyrics! Very impressive!

The theme of this year's concert was "Operation Christmas Child" and there was a little play that went along with the music...actually, it was more the music supported the theme of the play. Very cute and nicely acted for 6th-8th grade students. It really put me in the Christmas spirit and reminded me to slow down and relax. Christmas isn't about buying gifts, baking like a madwoman and stressing out over the details of the holiday. It's about giving. It's about John 3:16 and showing this same love to all we meet.
