My Back-Up's Arrived

and not a minute too soon, either! I picked Robin up from the airport at 12:45 this afternoon and I am so very happy! We had a nice lunch with the kids, went to a park, walked around the mall and then came back to my dad's place.

Dinner was less anxiety producing for me as I had back-up for both me and the kids. No tension or fighting. No lone battles with the clean your plate police. Ahhhh. So very nice!

Tonight we're going out for dessert and coffee. We'll celebrate his birthday a few days late and hopefully just catch up with each other. While two weeks isn't an eternity, it's still long enough to miss the one you love.
